A little message from Mrs Hosie (Nurture and Positive Play Co-ordinator) –

Nurture Group (Rainbows)

Rainbows is a nurture group which aims to help children develop confidence, raise self-esteem and improve social skills.

Children are encouraged to express their feelings and feel special.

Children who have experienced nurture groups tend to feel more confident and are able to cope better with activities in their classrooms.

Parents are welcome to visit during these sessions. Please just inform me to arrange a date.

Positive Play

Positive Play is a support programme for individual children. The aim is to raise the self-esteem of children, helping them to access the curriculum and so achieve their potential.

The programme is delivered in a sensory area, with a trained positive play worker through a series of structured activities and play, as play is a natural medium which helps children to make sense of the world.
