Welcome to Eagles!
We’re so pleased to have you all back!
We will start the term by learning all about the birds that represent each class and creating some wonderful artwork for a whole school display in the main corridor, which will look amazing!
Throughout the Autumn term, we will be learning all about World War 2 and our Co-Jo missions will be based on the brave missions of Nancy Wake, who the German’s called ‘The White Mouse’ – let’s learn more about her to find out why!
We will learn about another inspirational female of the time, Anne Frank, by reading her war time diary which documents her family’s persecution and hidden lives, as well as the brave people who helped and protected them.
All of this learning will be supported by our visit to the Eden Camp in Malton, Yorkshire on Wednesday 29th September. The camp was built in 1942 as a WWII Prisoner of War Camp and I know this will be a really fantastic day where we will all learn an awful lot. We are so pleased to be able to continue our learning with educational visits again after such a long time of this not being possible!
Eagles will have PE every Tuesday and Thursday, so please ensure that children come to school wearing their PE kit, appropriate for the weather, and all jewelry is removed.
Any questions or concerns, please call the office and leave a message. We are all really happy to help and one of us will get back to you as soon as possible.
We all really look forward to the year ahead,
Mrs Mee, Mrs Hovell and Mrs Hallsworth xx
