EYFS - Today we are going to expand on yesterdays' work by splitting 5 objects into groups but today we are splitting them into 3 groups. You will need 5 objects, a pencil and a sheet of paper. Can you have a go at splitting your 5 objects into 3 different groups e.g. 2, 2 and 1 can you then have a go at writing down the addition equation. So the addition equation for 2, 2, and 1 would be 2 + 2 + 1 = 5.
How many different ways can you split the 5 objects 3 different ways and record the equation to go with it?
YR1 - Continuing with subtraction we are going to move onto subtraction problems today. You can use practical resources or the number line to help you.
