Medicine Safety Scenerios
Read some of the examples of situations with your family or you may want to act them out, by getting ‘into role’ and make a ‘freeze frame’, as if someone had taken a photograph of the scenario.
Once ‘out of role’, discuss the risk in the situation, answering the following questions:
What is the risk? What might happen?
Easier option: Choose scenarios that are likely to have a more obvious outcome (such as scenarios 2, 4 and 7).
Challenge: How could this affect the health of the person or people in the situation?
Discuss the following two questions for your given scenario:
• What should the characters do now to prevent any further risk?
• Who could help? Where could the person get more support or advice?
When you have discussed them you need to look at the answers in the document below.
