Ordinarily, Year 2 and Year 6 children would have an in-school workshop delivered by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service to educate you about the importance of fire safety in the home and how to avoid accidental fires. Sadly, due to the current lockdown situation, the workshops can't go ahead but we are really lucky that they have put together this online learning workshop and activity sheet for you to learn at home.

Here is another lovely activity from Mrs Palmer to enjoy with your family:

If you want something new to do this week, why not take part in the Big Garden Birdwatch? All you need to do is take a tally sheet and a pencil into your garden and count how many birds of each type you can see at one time.

If you can get an adult to go with you, you may like to go up to the canal or the reservoir or a park. Don’t forget to dress up warmly as it may be a bit chilly! You may like to take a picture and send it to us.

If you can go online, look at the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch site where you will find different activities to do at home. You can even make food for your birds!

Have fun!

Mrs Palmer
