Spring One

Where is London? Where is Beijing? We are going to learn about the geographical similarities and differences through studying human and physical geography of a small area of the United Kingdom (London, England) and of a contrasting non-European country (Beijing, China)

In art we are going to be exploring and developing our painting knowledge and skills this half term, using the work of Piet Mondrian by understanding how ideas develop through an artistic process. We shall be exploring primary colours and what colours are used to make secondary colours. The children will also learn about tones and how to use white and black when added, identifying warm and cold colours and create our own colour wheel, exploring line thickness using a range of paint brushes. We shall then use this knowledge to recreate the work of Piet Mondrian.

Let's learn about Piet Mondrian! 🎨
