What are the northern lights?
'An aurora, sometimes referred to as polar lights, northern lights, or southern lights, is a natural light display in the Earth's sky, mostly seen in Northern countries.'

The Northern Lights can be green, pink, purple, white or blue and can normally be seen in the winter months. Have a look at the pictures below and think about the colours that you can see and the shapes that the lights are forming.
