At Ironville and Codnor Park Primary School we have two Family Support Workers. Their names are Miss Karen Sharpe and Mrs Julie Coulston.
Their job role includes:
- Safeguarding - Work with children on safeguarding plans and attend all meetings.
- Early Help Support - This will include Early Help Assessments, Team Around the Family meetings, Behaviour Support, Emotional Support, Financial Support and any other support that may be needed to help.
- Signposting - Referring into agencies to support families’ individual needs.
- Direct work with individual children and parents/carers including group work (including attendance/lateness).
- First point of call for children and parents/carers for advice, any concerns/issues (safeguarding included).
- Helping children with barriers to learning.
