Spring Two

Music

In this unit of call and response, children will explore how instruments can represent animals. They copy rhythms, create their own patterns, and take part in call and response activities.

By the end, pupils will be able to:

  • Use loud and quiet sounds.
  • Play and clap in time with a beat.
  • Experiment with different instrumental sounds.
  • Show clear call and response skills.
  • Perform a simple composition.

PSHE

This half term in PSHE with Robins class, the children will be learning about what makes each of us special and unique. They will explore their own strengths, qualities, and interests, and learn to celebrate differences in others.

Forest School

Shining Start will continue to take part in weekly Forest School sessions as part of their learning experience. Forest School offers a wonderful opportunity for children to explore nature, develop confidence, and build important skills such as teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving in a safe outdoor environment. These sessions will be led by trained staff and will take place regardless of the weather! We look forward to seeing the children thrive through these enriching outdoor adventures!
