Summer Two

Life-cycles

In Science, children will learn about life cycles and how living things grow and change. They will explore the stages of the human life cycle, learn how offspring are similar to their parents, and investigate the life cycles of animals such as butterflies, and frogs. Through discussion and activities, children will develop their understanding of the natural world around them.

Hand puppets

This half term, children will explore different types of puppets and the materials they are made from. We will practise basic sewing skills including how to thread a needle and complete a running stitch. To complete the topic, they will design, make and evaluate their own hand puppet.

Toys from the past

In history, we will learn about how toys and games have changed from the past to the present by comparing traditional and modern examples. They will explore the development of electronic games, create a simple timeline, and learn about today’s gaming culture, including popular online gamers on platforms like Twitch.
