Georgraphy: Mountains and Rivers

Mountains

We will be identifying and locating the different mountain ranges of the UK, on a map. As well as finding out

more about 'The 3 peaks' of UK. The class will then use maps to look further a field and explore the mountain

ranges across the world.

Rivers

Part of our work on rivers will be to explore the physical features of a river. We will continue to develop our

map work by naming and locating the famous rivers of the world including their routes.

We will identify that animals, including humans, need the right types and amount of nutrition, and that they

cannot make their own food; they get nutrition from what they eat.

We will also learn how to identify that humans and some other animals have skeletons and muscles for

support, protection and movement.
