Autumn

During this term, in History, we will be looking at the three eras of time from The Stone Age through to The Iron Age.

This will include looking at tools made of stone, and how these were used to create homes, clothing and hunt.

How did the people in the Stone Age survive?

The children will then compare the Stone Age to the bronze age and finally to the Iron Age. They will look at how things changed, how did the tools people used and the way of life change and develop.

In Science our unit on 'Rocks' the children will learn how to compare and group together different kinds of rocks  based on their appearance and properties. They will learn how to describe how fossils are formed when things that have lived are trapped within rock and finally they learn how to recognise that soils are made from rocks and organic matter.
