Bedtime story

We followed a recipe to make pancakes to help Mr. Wolf

We are learning about different jobs in Wrens and one of these is a hairdresser. The children has enjoyed exploring what they do and how different things work!

Happy Chinese New Year! We have learnt all about the story behind Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated. We made a shadow puppet show, had a Chinese restaurant in the role play, wrote Chinese numbers and made our own dragons!

Toothbrushing Time!! Wrens know how important it is to keep their teeth clean, so we brush them everyday at school!

Goldilocks Christmas Pantomime

We have been learning all about Diwali the festival of lights! We made rangoli patterns, celebrated Diwali in our role play area, retold the story of Rama and Sita using puppets and we made our own Diva lamps using salt dough and then painted them. Happy Diwali!

Remembrance Day 2022

We have been learning all about Bonfire night and why it is celebrated! We have drawn bonfire and firework pictures with chalk both inside and outside. We have been role playing being at a firework display and have created posters to make sure we know how to keep safe. We then made a pretend bonfire and roasted pretend marshmallows! Finally, we conducted a science experiment to see how fireworks work, we mixed mints and coke together and created an explosion!

It has been Halloween at school this week and Wrens have been participating in some great activities! They have been making a potion for the witch, creating spooky paper chains, apple bobbing, carving and investigating pumpkins, creating a stain glass pumpkin window and role playing in our spooky house!

As part of our school motto 'Be Unique' we spoke about how every child is unique and different and read the story 'All About Me'. The children then painted their own self-portraits to go up in our classroom.

At the beginning of term we had various transition sessions for both children and parents to come and join. Here are some pictures of the forest school transition afternoon, the parents and children planted seeds, roasted marshmallows on the fire and read the story Wild Child!
