Welcome back to an exciting new term exploring our 'Incredible Earth'.  We shall be discovering it's weather and it's climates and how these can have a huge impact on our lives and in our English work we shall be exploring how we have a huge impact on the earth and the life it sustains. We shall be using instruments to measure, record and present our own weather reports. Our science will explore forces and movement.  Investigating with magnets this half term and electrical circuits after the short break. We shall be developing our printing skills and using this to produce cards at the end of the term.

If you have any skills or knowledge that you would like to share please do not hesitate to get in touch, or if you would be interested in lending a helping hand.

Geography | KS1 | KS2 | Explain This... | Climate | BBC Teach

The video has been developed to give pupils an understanding of the distribution of climate zones across the world. It could also provide a starting point for discussion about how climate change might affect these zones in the future and the impact this would have on humans, animals and plants.

The Creature: Killed by plastic pollution an unknown animal washes up on Cornwall beach.

What happens when a mysterious, beautiful ocean animal is found alive, but beached? The Creature in our film is an animal no one has ever seen before but a reminder to all that one marine mammal or sea bird dies every 30 seconds due to plastic pollution. End plastic pollution.
