Autumn One

Hello and a big welcome to our new children in Shining Start. This half term we are learning all about you, your family and your interests. We are starting this half term learning the rules, behaviours and routines of the school day, as well as  carrying out activities as part of our theme 'Marvellous Me!' such as drawing self-portraits, talking about the different members of our families and thinking about what interests we have! 

Where do we live? What are we near? What is around us? This half term we shall be learning about Great Britain and the United Kingdom and what makes them both different. This includes exploring maps and atlases, locating the countries and capital cities and what counties border each other. We are going to explore the seas around Great Britain and the UK and finally we shall explore what famous landmarks there are including human and physical features.
