Hello and welcome back after half term! I hope you had lots of fun and was also able to relax a bit. The second half of the Autumn term is filled full of exciting learning. We begin with bonfire night and learning all about the story behind this and how to keep safe around fireworks. We move onto Remembrance Day where we will be learning about the importance of why the soldiers died and why we where poppies to remember them. After this we will be learning all about the celebration of Diwali and making some Diwali lamps to help us understand the story of Rama and Sita! This half term will also include The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson and of course, writing our letters to Father Christmas! Our PE sessions continue to be on a Tuesday and a Thursday so please come dressed in your PE kit.
Homework will continued to be marked on a Friday so please make sure you bring your homework booklet in for it to be marked weekly.
Please, please, please, read with your child at home at least 3x per week. Your child's phonic book will be changed every week and their browsing book changed once a month unless they ask to change before this.
This half term we are all having a pantomime company come into school to perform Goldilocks and the Three Bears, tickets are £5 and their are a limited number of tickets for parents to join too!
The children will of course be performing their own nativity story in December too which we hope you will come to watch.
